PREVIOUS PROJECTS

We have carried out lots of work ranging from full restos and rebuilds to simple 'finishing off' of vehicles. Examples can be seen below:

LWB Doon Buggy Cage / Seat Work



As the recommended vehicle builder for Doon Buggies we have built several roll-cages in varying styles from single hoops through to full and double bar versions. The cage for this particular project had a silver powder-coat finish.

While this vehicle was in the owner decided to have the rear seat fabricated. We duly oblidged.

GP Mk 2 Buggy - 'Project Pimp!'



As you can see from the photographs this GP mk 2 buggy came into the workshop a little worse for wear. We reshaped the body and sprayed the whole thing a pimping purple. The rollcage was fabricated and coloured graphite-grey, matching the custom speedo surround that we created while pimping the dashboard. A bit of shine to the engine and numerous other tweaks and the whole thing left our workshop 'Blinging!'
Bay Window Westphalia - Full Restoration











This was a full restoration starting with...actually, we'll just let the pictures do the talking.
T25 High-top Camper



This T25 was kitted with our own custom bumper kit and dressed with new shape Beetle wheels with the help of wheel adapters. A little splash of paint and the whole look of the vehicle has been transformes.

Doon Buggy - Doon Buggies Demonstrator


Built from the groud up this LWB Doon Buggy carries a custom chrome theme throughout to include the dashboard, steering wheel, roll cage fillets, engine and wheels. The full leather Audi TT interior completes the package.

HURBIE Rides Again!









One of our favourite projects turned a 'scrap' 1967 Beetle into this custom Doon Buggy with a strong Number 53 theme. Lots of custom cut stainless steel parts, an airbrished fuel tank, full leather Audi TT interior and trick Polo steering column conversion. Standard swing axle rear and balljoint front suspension made this car a pleasure to drive. We felt the buggy deserved a starring role in a movie wearing those wide, banded 5 lug wheels.

'When you get five minutes whack a coat of black on my tank for me please', said Chad from Doon Buggies. As a thanks for helping us out in the past we spent a few more than just five minutes on it for him.

Needless to say, he was overjoyed with his present!
Doon Buggy Commissioned For VolksWorld Magazie

This buggy was built in conjunction with Doon Buggies and Street Style and Power (SSP) for VolksWorld Magazine. It was given away as a raffle prize at the 2005 VolksWorld Show.
